My name is Deidre and this is my very first blog and I'm super excited. I am a mother of a beautiful baby girl by the name of Zoey Noelle and a wife of a handsome man whom is also my best friend. I was born and raised in the South (North Carolina) but I'm now in the Washington DC area. Which is why I named this blog "Southern in the City". I will be talking about any and everything that comes to mind such has my favorite Dominican hair products, the best recipes in the world, southern remedy's and southern cooking.
